What is one project or program that you are really excited about?The Borough of Etna is located at the bottom of a valley and therefore is subject to a lot of flooding, so at the Etna Economic Development Corporation we do a great deal of work with storm water management and green infrastructure projects.8. What are some of the corporation's recent accomplishments?We are proud of our work that goes towards the continued growth of Etna's business district and provides residents with a safe as well as an active and engaging community. Additionally, we are currently working to facilitate a more distinct and substantial art district throughout the area.9. Tell us what you love about your neighborhood. What is your neighborhood's best kept secret?We have a beautiful little nature trail called Dougherty Nature Trail that runs along Pine Creek, its a really tranquil and great place to go to that you normally wouldn't expect to find in an urban area.10. What is a business in your neighborhood that partners with your organization for events, or has in the past? How has it helped you?We are about to do an art tour through the neighborhood that we are partnering with 448 Studios to accomplish. We are working to facilitate a more prominent art district and working with local businesses really helps to involve the community and get them engaged in the project as well.11. What is an interesting fact about your corporation or its history?We have won several different environmental awards from various organizations for our work involving environmental practices.12.
